Our Practice


Now accepting new clients seeking counseling at our Lombard,IL  and Frankfort, IL locations.

Dupage Clinical Counseling Services in Lombard, IL, Downtown Naperville IL, and Frankfort , IL has a mission  to provide comprehensive counseling specialized toward each individual client(s).  Our goal is to help each client develop a plan of action to work through and solve any issues they face. As counselors our role is to use guidance, motivation, accountability, and clinical interventions to help our clients make changes and achieve the life transformation that they desire. We have created a practice that we believe in. We provide individual adult counseling, individual children and adolescent counseling, family counseling, and couples counseling, along with life coaching, conflict resolution, and parent education in Lombard, IL, Naperville, IL, and Frankfort, IL. We have therapists on staff that are trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Exposure Response Prevention techniques (ERP), Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman trained at level 1 and 2.


Carla Gehle, MS, LCPC, NCC


Carla is  a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor  that works out of Lombard IL and Naperville IL. "I practice from the approach that I want to see my client's improve their lives, no matter the presenting issue. I  have years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families from many different backgrounds and feel that it is important to remember that each client, couple, and family have different goals of counseling and require an individualize therapeutic plan to fit their needs."  Carla earned her Bachelors Degree from North Central College, and her Masters in Clinical Counseling from National Louis University.  She is Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC. Carla is also a certified ACE personal trainer. Carla uses her training to treat the whole person, both physical health and mental health. Carla feels that is important for a person to focus on their wellness during their counseling journey.

Carla has been in private practice for over 8 years and has previous experience working at hospitals, where she provided psychological assessments and determines the appropriate level of care for patients seeking services. In the past Carla has worked in non-profit outpatient settings, along with a Therapeutic School which was a training site for psychology professionals. Carla uses her years of experience in different sectors of the counseling field everyday in her practice.

Carla specializes working with couples that have experience trauma, affairs, communication issues, and conflict resolution issues. Carla has extensive training in relationship counseling theories and has many years of experience working with couples. Carla also works with individuals that are struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitional and adjustment disorders. Carla practices with a client centered approach to therapy.

Lauren Farrell, MA, LPC 


Lauren is a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC), in addition to being certified in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling (CADC). She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University in Psychology and Sociology. She received her Masters of Arts Degree from Lewis University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her experience has been in outpatient settings working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.

She specializes in working with substance abuse disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders,trauma and couples. She has extensive knowledge and tools to help individuals and couples navigate through various life issues. Lauren is able to create a safe atmosphere for clients and develops individualized treatment that helps clients maintain a healthy form of functioning. She has strong interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of therapeutic approaches. She truly believes that everyone can benefit from counseling and having someone they can discuss their problems with in an open and accepting environment. Her goal is to positively impact every individual, couple, and family that she works with while aiding them in overcoming their personal obstacles. 

Emily Vose - MA, LCSW

Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and English from North Central College in 2010. She received her Masters of Social Work Degree from Aurora University in 2013. Emily has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, families and couples. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, non-profits and child welfare.

Emily specializes in depression, mood disorders, anxiety, crisis intervention, family/peer conflict, adjustment challenges, self-injury, suicidal ideation and relationship issues. Emily’s treatment approach is individualized to meet the needs of each client. She uses evidenced based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness. Emily believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship reached through compassion, empathy and trustworthiness. She believes strongly that every person can reach mental wellness through proper treatment. Emily works hard to create a safe, non-judgmental space, in which each individual is able to explore difficulties and challenges.

In addition to her position as an outpatient therapist in Lombard IL and Naperville IL, Emily also holds a position as at Rush Copley in Aurora IL. Emily has provided assessments, crisis intervention, counseling and referral services in the Intake and Emergency Departments. In her spare time, Emily’s passion is traveling and spending time with friends and family. 


Steve Sarsany, MS, LPC

Steve holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and is a  Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as, a National Certified Counselor.   Steve  has over 7 years of counseling experience. Steve works with children, adolescents, and adults to improve their lives throughout the counseling process. Steve has experience with adolescents as a high school counselor and with individual adults where he uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy.  Steve believes that we all need someone to talk with who will really listen and accept us as we are, without judgement.  " I can provide my clients that warm, nonjudgmental environment – a safe place to explore the issues that may be preventing you from living the life you want."

Christine Vinci, LCPC, NCC

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health and social services field.  I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree in clinical/counseling psychology from St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL and a Master's of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Schaumberg, IL.  I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, community mental health centers, home based/community-based services, and private practice.   

I specializing working with both individual and couples in my therapy practice. My approach to client care is simple, I like to meet the client where they are at.  In other words, I am a client centered and trauma informed therapist.  The relationship that is built between a client and therapist to key to treatment.  I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to process past trauma, challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, move towards change and acceptance, or to learn and utilize healthy coping strategies to be able to have a better quality of life.  In doing so, I utilize various treatment modalities to help you get to your goals such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. 

In addition to my work with clients, I also like to provide clinical supervision, mentorship to counseling graduate students, present on various topics related to mental health to the community and to other providers, consultation services, and speaking and writing engagements.

I am a member of Illinois Counseling Association (ICA), Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA) , Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling in Illinois (ACACI), American Counseling Association (ACA), Chi Sigma Iota-Alpha Upsilon Chapter, National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).  I have written numerous articles on mental health related topics on the state and national level.  I am the 2017 recipient of the ACACI Counselor of the Year Award.
